September can be the most popular wedding month here at Newlands. Many consider it early fall, but here in BC it can be late summer. It’s a month that can incorporate the golds and plums of fall as well as the greens of summer. How about a Carmel apple candy buffet! What Newlands Clubwed loves about September is the sun sets at just the right time so the reception room is filled with beautiful candle light ambiance for the first dance. That’s Amore!

Why not set out a candy table for your wedding favors. A candy table serves as a social meeting spot at your reception. If you think only kids go for the scrumptious treats you haven’t seen a group of candy crazed 40 somethings giggle and laugh as they pick their favorites.

It’s tempting to jump straight in and think about colours. As you search for inspiration, look for colours that you are consistently drawn to. Play around with different combinations and consider how they make you feel and whether they fit with your wedding day style.
As you narrow your inspirations down to create a mood board, look to see which colours are naturally coming through. These should form the basis of your colour palette.

With the explosion of “Wedding Websites”, gone are the days of snail-mail and waiting at the post office for RSVPs. The internet is flooded with various sites dedicated to helping today’s brides and grooms share their wedding information on a fun, unique and personalized website of their own. Guests can visit their site to find everything they need to know about the couple’s big day including the date, time, location and registry as well as a little story about the couple, photos and how they met or the proposal, should the couple choose to include these fun details. The sites are very helpful to the bride and groom as they can send out “Save the Dates” and “RSVP” emails straight from the site.
